About z’Nüni: Your Insider Guide to Living in Switzerland

z’Nüni is an independent English-language publication dedicated to helping you navigate life in Switzerland.  It is written for people already living in Switzerland, those seriously planning their move or just want to understand the Swiss way of life.

Through a blend of practical guidance and personal stories shaped by decades of lived experience, z’Nüni goes beyond the postcard. It offers a deeper understanding of how Switzerland works, why local traditions matter, and most importantly, what daily life  actually feels like, living by the Swiss seasons.

Meet Kristin: Your Guide to Life in Switzerland

I’m Kristin, an Australian-Swiss writer and photographer. After calling Switzerland home for nearly a quarter of a century, I’ve experienced the full arc of life here. From arriving as an outsider, marrying a Swiss to learning Swiss-German (Schwiizerdütsch) and building a long-term life, I’ve navigated the ups and down of integration.

I know what it takes to find your way “inside”, so I created z’Nüni to document and answer the questions I’m asked most often by the expat and local community.
