Autumn in Switzerland – the 5 things to see and do

Whether you call it Autumn, Fall or Herbst, the season between the middle of September and the middle of December is stunning in Switzerland. 

One of my very favourite things about living in Switzerland is the four very distinct seasons. Although I am always a little sad to say goodbye to the warmer and more relaxed days of summer, I am excited to get my scarves and boots out and get out and enjoy the magical autumn season.

The landscape is beginning to reveal its autumn personality as the leaves change from green to vibrant reds, orange and gold.  The morning air is crisp, and the lake and countryside will soon be covered in a sleepy fog.

But most importantly, it is still a great time of year to get outside and explore everything Switzerland has to offer!
