Making good use of a business trip to Basel, I asked Amanda, who herself has called Basel home for the past 8 years, to show me around her adopted city. Being a photographer herself (If you are ever in Basel, check out her fabulous work here and do consider a photoshoot with her!) Amanda was a delight to go on a photo walk with and totally got my need for stopping every few steps to take another photo! We strolled from Kleinbasel to Marktplatz, visiting the Rathhaus and farmers market. We headed up through the backstreets finding a store filled entirely with Christmas decorations. We enjoyed lunch, perused bookstores and of course visited the Herbstmesse, the Basel autumn fair. We finished our day with a ferry trip across the Rhein and watched the sunset over the Münster as we enjoyed the late afternoon sunshine with a prosecco.
